One Hour Dinner Rolls

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 c. warm water baby bath warm
  • 1 TBS yeast
  • 2 TBS granulated sugar
  • 2 TBS softened butter
  • 1 tsp salt
Topping
  • 2 TBS melted butter to brush tops
  • sea salt flakes optional

Equipment

  • Stand Mixer
  • Mixing bowl
  • measuring cups/spoons

Method
 

  1. In a stand up mixer bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in the warm water and let stand for about five mins. it should look a little foamy.
  2. Add butter, salt and 3 cups of all-purpose flour and mix until combined (about 1-2 mins).
  3. Add additional flour 1/4 cup at a time until the dough pulls away from the side somewhat.
  4. Let the mixer knead for 3-4 mins. Dough should be smooth.
  5. Cover with a tea towel or plastic wrap for 20 mins in a warm place. I use the bread proof option on my oven or you could put in warmer area.
  6. Punch down the dough and divide into 20 equal size pieces.
  7. Roll each piece in a ball and place on a greased pan.
  8. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sea salt and cover for an additional 20 minutes.
  9. While the rolls rise the 2nd time preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  10. Bake 13-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Remove and brush with butter again.
  12. Enjoy!
